Why would America intervene if there's no gold or oil to steal in a country they know they can't overrun easily. If this was happening in let's say Kazachstan America would be all over this shit like the shit flies that they are. And actually make everyone believe they're there to liberate the people.Digital Masta wrote: ↑Wed Jan 19, 2022 1:58 am Am I a bad person because I kinda get what that NBA owner said about the Uyghurs'? I mean, I'm of the same mindset in the sense that for me it's basically "What are we supposed to do? Fight with China?". I don't have any delusions about what the Chinese government is but seriously, we can't change what China does. Look, I have no problems with people and companies deciding not to deal with China because of this issue, but do you want the government to intervene in China? Bad idea.
Also, there are a couple of Scott Horton interviews where he interviews people that dug a bit more into the Uyghur situation and its stuff you don't really hear about.
https://scotthorton.org/?s=Uyghur
Of course, so many of the businesses have intertwined themselves into the Chinese economy. It would take massive balls and ethics to alienate that cash.

From what I know, he's been genuinely hated for driving their properties into the ground. I haven't paid attention since guitar hero though.

^^ knock on wood I don't want to see that shit lol.
Edit
It was once a part of Russia so maybe the same thing as Hong Kong and China?

PHEW!!
Rough week at work. I am working on this incredibly high-level project (seriously...it's like 2 levels removed from the CEO). I have done 17 hr days all week.
Today is the last day of the hard stuff -- so to do the wrap up/clean up -- I'm thinking about 5 hrs or less. Next week -- I'm working like 20 hrs [*edit* 20 hrs total].

Re: There we go
I've never told you all? I don't really sleep...I dunno why, just never really have.
I go to bed around 9p-ish...I wake up at 1:37a pretty much every day. If I'm tired -- I may "sleep in" to 2ish. And I don't do the whole "groggy-wake up" thing either (my wife does it and I absolutely HATE IT. The first alarm goes off...so she hits the snooze...then snooze...then snooze...then next alarm...then snooze...then snooze...then snooze...then next alarm...then snooze...then snooze...then snooze. HTF does it take a fucking hour to wake up???!?!? )
I lay in bed and fall asleep in under a minute. When I wake up...it's like a switch flips that says "I'm awake". My wife has woken me up before and asked a question -- and I can just answer without thinking. BUT, during those 4.5 hrs that I do sleep -- I'm generally dead to the world. If my ringer isn't on high -- I'll sleep through it, text messages/emails, etc....That doesn't mean I want to be at work though. Something weird is that I notice as I'm about to fall asleep -- I generally go deaf. My biggest weakness is that if I'm driving over night. I am wide awake until about 11pm. When I notice the volume of the world start to turn down...I'm seriously at risk to falling asleep right behind the steering wheel. I will literally just pull over to the shoulder. Lock the doors/turn off the lights...and take a quick power nap.
Generally, I'll spend my time reading, watching youtube or a movie here-or-there, Reddit, or just the general internet. I also post here (if you look at my time stamps -- the longer posts are generally early, early morning [because I have my comp] and my shorter posts are in the afternoon because I use my cell at work]. Even right now, it's 5a for me)...This is generally my "me" time. No baby that needs supervision. No wife that wants to talk about nothing or everything. I'm trying to get back into scheduling/structuring my time and exercising. Have been pretty hit-or-miss so far because of other things or being sick as shit earlier this year.
Hope to get more into a routine starting next week because all of my project work dies down...and I'm feeling healthy again. Let's hold me accountable
20JAN2022 - 5'11" & 214 lbs. Time to make that number drop because I "respect" you fucks. The goal is the 160-170s...but I'll settle for < 175lb.

I'm not expecting much, but it's also in a pretty unique situation. It's not a part of NATO - so do they stand up for Ukraine or do they show off that being in NATO is worth something extra? Do they defend Ukraine to show that NATO has extra meaning? Biden worked closely with Ukraine for years under Obama, so he's got ties to it, but also his son being a dumbass makes any optics of him assisting Ukraine look bad.
Economic sanctions stop working if you just let a country take over all of its neighbors...
I hate us and I'm us. Stupid AMA/US doctor training requirements, I'm more and more convinced they're there as a feature to prevent doctors from leaving instead of ensuring actual training.

This is my girlfriend, I don't understand it. Just wake the fuck up. I think it's just pure laziness. I've become a much lighter sleeper over the years where anything will wake me up. The problem is that the need for sleep is still there, so I just get tired. It doesn't help that my girlfriend has terrible snoring so when she's here sleeping I rarely get any sleep. She's finally going to the ear, nose, and throat doctor to get it checked because I was about to ban her from sleeping over. I live in a one-room apartment so I can't escape her snoring. Combined with the fact that my bed (a size called sem-double here in Japan) is perfect for me but becomes more difficult with two people.killacross wrote: ↑Thu Jan 20, 2022 10:03 am I've never told you all? ^^ You just triggered me, wifey is a terrible slepper that snores, I'm a light sleeper AZ well. Fortunately, I'm passed giving af and I shove her to wake her up. She hates when I do that, I can't even count the arguments we've had over it lol.

Re: There we go
I snore
My wife snores
My baby snores
...but not "aggressively" so -- if that makes sense. But if we all sleep in the same bed -- I generally leave the room and let my wife and daughter snore together. When I'm wide awake -- I can't handle it.
...the biggest issue for me is that 1: my wife is tropical and does not sweat. She likes to sleep with a heavy ass blanket in the summer. I like to sleep with only bed sheets. 2: I like to sleep with that same heavy ass blanket in the winter. We go to sleep and both are under the covers. I wake up and my wife is wrapped up like a burrito -- I'm at stage 3 hypothermia. EVERY. SINGLE. FUCKING. NIGHT.
I mean, I don't need a lot of sleep; I just ask that you don't fuck with the little sleep that I get!!

Re: There we go
I hit the full sleep spectrum so I can speak to this - if I get enough rest I'm up no problem. If I don't it's pretty much like getting put under with sleeping gas. There's literally nothing I can do. At my worst I'll sleep straight through the alarm on the loudest setting right next to my head.Digital Masta wrote: ↑Thu Jan 20, 2022 3:30 pm

MF'er charges for a transcript? That one comment though...Regarding Russia:
Re: There we go
I get massive migraines/headaches from time to time. This week took my son to the park in the snow. We went on the seesaw (he loved it) but it was me holding my weight and his on my own quadriceps for an extended period of time. I was pretty dehydrated for the most part. All day yesterday I had a pounding headache. Feeling a bit better, legs feel sore.

^^^ A man has no limits (approx infinity),
Watching the 24/7 news station and they said their was a murder-suicide with a male and female couple and that it's a reminder of gender based violence. Then I was wondering if two dudes get at it, is that gender based violence too?
