Not just a repeat. I could be wrong, but I'm pretty sure that's around when he kills the giant lightning Apostle that has something to do with the world tree that Griffith uses to travel. And I could be wrong, but I think it also has something to do with the Behelet shaped creature that altered the world, allowing Griffith and the other members of the God Hand to physically manifest in the world; as well as bring back wide spread magic and creatures of that nature.

I'm guessing this series has another 5 years to go so that it can hit the even 40 years of publication (also before the guy loses interest)
