This also highlights the bullshit of the straw hats growth. It took these killers decades to reach their pinnacle of power and influence. Luffy over here doing it after sailing for like a year and the taking a break to train for 2 years.

And it isn't like older killers weren't around to teach the old heads how to get stronger too and it still took them a while.

Hell, we don't even know if Shanks was an emperor yet when he was hanging around Luffy's hometown.
