I thought the same, did they turn on did Imu summon them? Oda and his damn messy ass panels.

I took it as the Elders transformed into those glob on their own but I agree it's hard to tell.

Seems like eternity for Luffy to fight Kado in gear 5 holy moly in the anime. Currently Law/Kidd is fighting Big Mom, Zoro just beat King.
