"Where we will rely on our international and corporate partners..."
International interests vs American corporations. Russia and China will win every time.

I think at the time the animation was top-notch (at least to me) and years ahead of anything.Haohmaru wrote: ↑Sun Jun 07, 2020 4:53 pmSame here man. I’ve never seen the tv show. The movie was awesome though for its time. If it had better animation it would’ve been one of my favorite movies.San Goku wrote: ↑Sun Jun 07, 2020 4:19 am Oh an important fact that I need to say about Fist of The North Star, because this is important. It was the MOVIE that I watched first. I found out there was a series years later, no internet. Never seen anything like it or know that a cartoon could be so violent and bloody for kids.

Interesting video on VLAD TV: https://youtu.be/BXCDNh7LfM4
Stating that BLM is not our movement. Some good points he brings up. Except in this situation BLM is part of a real movement.

I didn't know Candice Owens did a TED talk lol, it's pretty good and the points about activism to Millennials.

Except every BLM picture I see...actual black people are outnumbered 100:1 by white women. The "movement" is being co-opted.
They gotta protect that BBC supply I guess.
Personally, I do not think it is is a movement. The reason every company is jumping behind it is because it will not affect their $$$$ even a little bit. The same way that you have Pelosi and Shumer kneeling and wearing kente cloth instead of actually proposing legislation that could change things (specifically what I mentioned before...allowing the police pension's to be sued).
It's all smoke/mirrors

Definition of 'political movement' is a pretty low bar to meet. Given the changes at local levels, you could argue it was successful (especially in Minneapolis).

George Floyd died more than 2 weeks ago and it has been almost 2 weeks since xx made this post. I am still hearing discussions related to George Floyd. I just wanted to point that out lol.Digital Masta wrote: ↑Tue Jun 02, 2020 8:57 pmI'm going to remember this in 2 weeks my friend. Re: There we go
well, since you brought it up...my wife HATES when I talk about her family...so i'll do it here because you all can't get the info back to her
2 weeks ago, her parents were in Nicaragua. She talked to them on Saturday for 3 hours. Her parents were visiting their mother (my wife's 100+ y.o. grandmother) in the multigenerational family home. They said everyone is happy, healthy, and fine. Sunday they called to say my wife's cousin had died in his sleep in that same family home...he had been sick for 2-3 weeks. The doctors told him he probably had COVID and to take fluids and rest. My inlaws were worried now and wanted to come back to the states (becuase you cant get tested or medication in that heavily socialist country -- those tests are reserved for the government and the uber rich).
BTW, Nicaragua's official stance on COVID is that it is god punishing sinners...and it doesn't exist in Nicaragua because the people are pure and strong and catholic.
The airlines have suspended flights to/from Nicaragua
The family scrambles...so one sister bought tickets from Costa Rica to Tx to Fl (we all live in NC). Another brother arranged a private flight from Nicaragua to Costa Rica. Another brother said he would drive them to the private airfield. We offered to fly them from FL to NC....and to pay for a hotel room for 3 weeks so they could quarantine. The other sister said that was nonsense (after we bought the tickets mind you...but we could cancel the hotel with no penalty) and she would drive to FL to pick them up (and visit her husband's family beforehand). Essentially...everyone ignores us about the quarantine part.
Anyway...the parents fly into the states...arrive in FL...visit more of their siblings before the sister and her husband (with the other sister, her husband, and their 1.5 y.o baby) picks them up in FL. They all come back to NC and stay in the same house -all 10 of them in like 1300 sqft.
My wife is upset and telling them it is dangerous. They blow her off and say she's worrying about nothing...they've "taken precautions" [which meant they prayed about it]. My wife told them that no one is to visit for 2 weeks. They are furious with her because how DARE she? And she's changed..yada yada.
Anyway...the dad pops a fever on day 1...the mom on day 2. The family essentially ignores it. My wife is like take them to the hospital. The fever stays, they lose their appetite. Then one of the kids (14/15) gets a fever...one sister says she is just exhausted. And one of the husbands starts to get body aches and a fever. By day 4...the parents go to the ER because they can't breathe. Hospital tests them for COVID but it takes 4 days for results. They look at their O2 sat percentages...and they are in the high 70s (typically...anything below 80 and you need oxygen). They are both admitted. 3 days later, they release my FIL...my MIL is currently still admitted (she's morbidly obese anyway...so that is no bueno). Her test comes back positive yesterday. With my FIL, they essentially gave him prescription multivitamins and sent him home. He's been around EVERYONE. His test came back positive today. The hospital said to self isolate.
....I just think of every person that they have come into contact with now (because you KNOW they weren't wearing a face mask traveling through the airports. I've seen the pictures of the masks around their necks because it was uncomfortable to breathe through them -- UGH!!).
...My wife is pissed again because her family is now saying dumb shit like "Why do bad things always happen to good people?" UGH!

I'm more impressed you've held your tongue on the 'good people' part. Not sure I could.killacross wrote: ↑Sat Jun 13, 2020 11:14 pm ...My wife is pissed again because her family is now saying dumb shit like "Why do bad things always happen to good people?" UGH!
Yep, still protests too. Then shit like the shooting in Atlanta happens.
Also COVID on the rise in 23 states now, and US overall is trending up in new cases again. Wheeeeee.

CHAZ is the greatest thing ever created ever.
Oh...my...gawd, I love everything about it. It's unfolding exactly how you'd expect it to. I feel bad for the people that live there and wanted nothing to do with this but let this experiment play out. This is the first time in history that we can actually see "the revolution" in action all over the world in real time. Let's see if their way is indeed going to work...

Nah, there's no planning behind it. It's not being taken seriously by the city either, they're just waiting them out instead of storming the castle. Props to that decision, really. I don't see it lasting until August, but wouldn't be the first time I've been wrong.Digital Masta wrote: ↑Sun Jun 14, 2020 7:40 pm CHAZ is the greatest thing ever created ever.

What killed me was their dry erase board filled with all their requests for "Necessities" and the laughable attempts at amateur farming.
Honestly they should just erect a 100ft tall barricade around the entire autonomous zone and wait until they turn it into a woke version of thunderdome.

I know. I just love how instantly it devolved into basically typical communist dictatorship and totalitarianism. Also you have to love the irony of them essentially putting up a wall that has armed guards AND they stop and frisk people who enter and grill them to see if their views and values match that of CHAZ. You really can't make this shit up.xandorxerxes wrote: ↑Sun Jun 14, 2020 11:45 pmNah, there's no planning behind it.Digital Masta wrote: ↑Sun Jun 14, 2020 7:40 pm CHAZ is the greatest thing ever created ever.

My son and I are off to bicycle adventures. Bought a new bike and a rear child seat carrier for him to sit on. He's loving it, puts him to sleep too sometimes when he is so relaxed.

Promised Neverland just ended. Feels pretty wild.
I think I started reading when there were like 20 chapters out. This was in 2016 apparently holy shit. So much has happened...

Just in a room. She says she feels fine.
She's still on supplemental O2 though. They took her off once before and the numbers plummeted
