...and all before was 10 years old
she lived there for a few (NON-FORMATIVE) years. When she was coming of age - she was on the other side of the country - as far away from Compton as possible.
By your logic, my parents were both in the military - so I'm a German, I'm a Turk, I'm a Korean, and I'm a Czechoslovakian (I've lived in all of those places for a few years...and all before I was 10).
I brought up money because like I said before - there's something dumb about black culture that says that you have to go back to where you came from to get respect. Seriously, people who live in the hood don't even want to live in the hood. Black culture says that you have to bring all of those people along with you (even if they aren't actively working to get themselves out). Black culture says that if you make money - you're supposed to buy your mom a house, your siblings cars, and make loans to your homeboys. Then everyone wonders why all of the athletes and entertainers go broke... Her life as a millionaire to an eventual billionaire is so far removed from anything normal - let alone the $30k avg income of Compton. She has ties to the area, but she was NEVER a Compton girl...and even with all that money - I don't think she owns property in Compton **edit** a quick google search says she helped fund a community center (in honor of her murdered sister).
In 2025, people don't separate by race - they separate themselves by social class. The black people I surround myself with are very similar to me. I may have more or less money, but our core values align (even if our political views do not). If I meet anyone really,
white/black/red/yellow/blue/green - and all they talk about is drugs constantly or stealing constantly or scamming or pussy or any nonsense that would fuck up the money - we obviously do not have much in common. I cut them out. So yes - I have some family that I have had to leave behind. I wish them the best - but every family reunion, they are there asking for something to get their next big idea/scam in motion.
