UGH!!
So my car is donezo. I drove to one of my rental homes to make some repairs. Drove to another to complete some upgrades.

Driving home...I had the distinct thought. "My car has 266k miles..but I really like this car. Doesn't have a lot of cool features, but it is so comfortable. I want to get to 300k before I replace it."

10 mins later, it gets ridiculously loud. I call my wife. I tell her, something is wrong with my car -I am not sure that I will make it home. Can you get ready to pick me -- ***CLUNK *** - yep, there it is, I may need you to come get me."

No smoke or burning smells. Engine not overheating. But it is just mechanical ROARING. I was like 2 mins from home so I risked it. I actually made it home.

The internet says that my symptoms can be 1 of 3 things. Bad bearings, bad transfer case, bad transmission. I decided to try something new...so I look and contact a mobile mechanic. The guy asks if I have the parts or if I want him to buy them and he'd charge a fee. I order the parts and they arrive at the shop that night. I pick them up and he comes to my house the next day and does the necessary work in my driveway. He says...well, #1 was definitely an issue. #3 is definitely an issue as well. #2 is probably an issue, but you have to open it up to do more investigation to be sure. BTW, you also have issue #4 - catalytic converter on the right side has failed. It was crazy convenient. I may consider more of it in the future.

Soooooo..my car is done. I'm not putting any more money into it. Gonna call a junker company to come pay me $100 to take it.

The weird part is that I am not a car guy. I give maybe 6 fucks about cars. I said - I am done with Fords, got a rental and was driving home and looking at other cars on the road. I want a Honda, Nissan, Toyota, or Subaru. I think I'll get a newer Honda Pilot. Gotta sell some stock and do a little research.

I mean 266k is a lot.

So, I just learned that it's been 10 years since the Naruto manga ENDED. Holy shit. We're old.

So I was playing around on carmax. Saw a car that I was interested in and decided I would circle back a day or two later. GONE!

Saw another one....a day or two later....GONE!

Saw another one. Created an account and everything. Thought I would go ahead and pay the shipping deposit. Come back an hr or two later. GONE!

This shit feels like buying a house a few years ago. I hate it

Almost finished with Arcane S2. It's beautiful, but it has turned so weird.

Holy shit it looks like Damascus has been taken over by rebels with almost no fighting from the Syrian military.

Edit: Apparently Assad has fled the country, with some statements saying the plane he was on was shot down, but no actual idea there.

It's like where did this come from? Apparently they have been at it for a week or so and completely cut straight through to the capital

I haven't been looking or paying attention... But wow, I haven't even seen any headlines

My bro convinced me to start watching Vleach anime again. I realized, I missed 4 eps before the break and that's what was throwing me off. I have a good amount of eps to watch.

Same here, I remember reading about the Syrian military starting to engage rebel armies again like 2 weeks ago, then suddenly Damascus has fallen, Assad fled and was possibly killed, and we're looking at possibly a taliban style government in Syria

Finished Arcane S2. The writers had no idea what they were doing...no idea what story they wanted to tell... So they just told all of them: time travel, parallel universes, mind control, mad scientists, and essentially an alien invasion outta nowhere.

Upset I had to wait so long for such a mediocre ending

Is this a foreign policy win for Biden on his way out? They wanted Asad out for a long time.

Don't ever forget lesbian sex, because we needed that. I thought it was a great season overall with a lot of missed opportunities.

Yes yes THE MESSAGE

I don't think it is a win for Biden or Trump. I think it's an opportunity for Gabbard though. They have consistently said she was an operative and apologist for Assad... And therefore disqualified from positions. This at least removes that obstacle for her. It also allows Trump to play America's favorite game of meddling and regime change.

Wasn't really bothered by the lesbian stuff because the minute Vi was introduced you knew "Oh, she likes girls." and considering how young she was when she was sent to prison, you know she was likely turned out by both men and women while in there. And in S1 the scene where they go to the pleasure house and Caitlyn has to talk to the man and she is super awkward but later is calmly talking with a woman hints that she likes the ladies.

Plus it wasn't the entirety of their personalities.

I'm of the Henry Cavill opinion that sex scenes do nothing for the plot. They don't move it forward in any way, and in animated form, they're also just really awkward.

Then at the worst time ever, Vi and Caitlyn decide to get down in that dirty ass cell when Vi's sister heavily hinted that she was going to go kill herself and Vi is like, "Ya know...I wanna eat carpet right now."

Learned something new. Feel almost the exact same way as Henry Cavill

Reminds me of Jamie and Cersei on Joffreys casket - wth was the point?

Edit: looks like they caught the UHC shooter

Poor guy was a hero for a week or so

I was a little disturbed by the reaction to him. I mean I totally get the frustration with the healthcare system but this man wasn't a hero. You can't have people going around assassinating people they don't like.

In good news, Daniel Penny was found not guilty of the negligent homicide charge.

That man will never freely talk to the police ever again. Lesson learned.

The UHC CEO was literally Hitler. He needed to die.

Daniel Penny was literally Hitler. He needed to go to jail for life.

If you agree with the verdict or don't want a figurehead (essentially) blamed for every grievance, you're literally Hitler and you're not invited to Christmas this year.

So Jaimee Foxx had a brain bleed and a stroke. Went into hiding to recover. And has now come back out into the public view now. Good for him.
