Oh yea....FYI
as a B
lack man who came of age in Hickory, NC [technically Taylorsville, NC......technically, technically - Bethlehem, NC ]
97% of this metro is not a sundown town
I personally know people who lost everything in Hurricane Helene.
It's my first time seeing the government directly lying to you...instead of hinting at it
What the heck are you complaining about? $750 is not good enough for you? Support Ukraine and Isreal, even if your people are in need first. Living in a daily clown world.
I hope everyone pulls through.

@San...people lost absolutely everything. Imagine you only have the clothes you're wearing and what's in your pockets and what's in your car (if you actually left the area). The government dangles $750.. but denies it to you. Then, in the same press conference brags that they sent BILLIONS to Ukraine, Israel, (and probably Taiwan too in there somewhere), and spent millions more on illegals,
Shit is wild!!
Gets me thinking
@DM, does anyone still talk about the earthquake/tsunami and after effects from a decade ago?
**EDIT**
Re-reading this again today and I realized that I missed the joke...my bad San.
I was highly offended

No laughing matter, it was more aimed at the Government. Apologies if it came off that way. $750 is not going to cut it. I could have just said that.
Edit
Now I'm seeing $7B in untapped FEMA funds was found SMFH

Not really, at least not where I'm at. I'm sure the areas that were affected may talk about it. One thing it did do is put an unfortunate pause on Japan's further development of its nuclear power plants. People are still squeamish about it, which is unfortunate.
And god damn...I truly despise government. How could anyone not look at the hurricane situation and not be redpilled that the government not only doesn't care about you...they actually hate you.

If you can dump money into a pandemic to 'save' people, you can do it for a hurricane/natural disaster.
Edit
^^^ For real though. Ppl have to stop and think. If the government is not helping people how they should be helped, like going all the fuck in (money, resources, manpower). That means you really fucking hate me. That is the only be the possible reason why you can pump billions to your 'allies' but not citizens of the country.

The fact that your people aren’t rioting and protesting at this moment is a mystery. Your government is busy supplying Ukrainian and Israel and whatever country the support with billions of dollars and leaves their own people in the dirt

Aaaand I'm a piece of shit
... Moved on with life. Bought 2 things I don't really need (Rev Air hairdryer for my daughter) and a Ninja Slushi for the household.
I could have probably donated that $700 instead.
Also, random. I unenrolled my Google Nest thermostats from the energy monitoring software program. Why the fuck would I pay full retail for the power company to be able to change my settings? Woke up this morning and the house was freezing. Looked at the thermostats on my phone and the settings and schedules had been completely shuffled.
FUCK. THAT!! So you have to contact customer service. They send a verification code. You reply with the code. They give you a phone call. The send a verification to your phone. You confirm. They send a verification to your email. You confirm. They ask you to confirm on the phone 1 more time.
Then 2-3 business days and I'll be unenrolled

This happens every year... why would we riot? We're not sending money to Ukraine, we're spending money rehabilitating military equipment that's sitting in the desert and then shipping it over there.
There's billions sitting in the FEMA disaster fund currently, they'll need more in the near future but they can make it work for now. The $750 in the news is an instant cash injection for people that desperately need food, water, or clothes. It takes filling out a couple of forms and you get access to the billions that FEMA has earmarked for this.
If you really want to blame someone, blame speaker Johnson for starting the fall Congress recess a week early and not voting on increasing FEMA's disaster fund. My issue is the people voting against it then blaming democrats...

Not how the US government works with funding... Congress has to earmark the funds for that. You can't just shift money around without congress approving it, and Speaker Johnson allowed the House of Representative to leave a week early for vacation so congress is not in session right now

That was not the issue. The problem was that Mayorkas directly said "we do not have enough money for the season". He was vague. If he said, "we have enough money for the immediate threat, but we will likely need more funding [or need spending authorized by congress]" - people would not have pounced.
In fact, HSI should have immediately put out a clarification statement that day or the next to say that he was unclear. Instead, the story was allowed to build and spread for a week before a watchdog group said that they/FEMA actually has billions in reserve...that are not allocated.
And $750 is not enough for an initial payment. People lost EVERYTHING!! Why is that hard to understand? It's not like they can walk to Walmart 2 blocks away. They have to completely relocate. $750 does not pay for a week of a hotel and doesn't pay for a month's worth of food.
Though I may be wrong - it might be per person and not per household.
Anyway - this has become another issue for me to future proof. I have a prepper kit...but don't have a FAST hurricane/tornado response kit (for leaving) or a hurricane preparedness kit (if we are staying). Gotta look into that. Honestly, thinking about it gives me anxiety with 2 young kids (5 and 2).

You won't find any objection from me that the government should be doing more, the problem is that there's so much partisan bullshit that no one can give the other side a "win". The problem in this instance is the separation of powers set forth in the constitution, Congress has to pass the funding for FEMA disaster recovery, no one else can put money in that fund. The federal government also cannot just mobilize the national guard, that's up to the individual state governors. There's so much bullshit bureaucracy now and FEMA was the department that was supposed to be able to cut through that bullshit and run the logistics of it
Out here, the Marshal Fire was a huge eye opener for me as to having an important grab bag

Excited new Dragon Ball series will be streaming on mainstream services like Netflix so soon, this Friday on Netflix. My brother said that it actually came out Oct 11th.

You mean dragon ball daima? The first episode is out already. It's basically a summary of the dragon ball story up to the buu saga (adding some pretty important stuff here and there) It resumes from there.

Donald Trump working fries at McDonalds is probably the biggest troll of this decade. You KNOW Trump is thinking - "I'm too old/rich/powerful for this shit"
How have we allowed American Politics to fall so far?

I honestly think he enjoyed it, mainly talking to the people. He seems to genuinely like people.

I thought it was fucking hilarious. Could you imagine thinking it's just a normal day to order fries and then the man that almost got his dome blown off come to serve you lol. I agree with DM, Donald Trump did enjoy it and clearly customers did too.

I wish the Dragon Ball Daima took place in the present time, like after the latest Super Manga. If we get more stories on the demon realm for Super then that's fine, I won't mind that it's shortly after the Buu saga. It's what I've been asking and wondering for years since we were introduced to the Supreme Kai.

FEMA:
https://www.fema.gov/node/rumor-serious ... assistance
It's not even a matter of issues anymore. I could be completely against everything Harris said and completely for every policy (pretending his platform isn't 'whatever I want') of Trump's and I'd still not vote for Trump.
In his first term, Trump had people checking his crazy ass requests. Project 2025 (created by some his own advisors) is a blueprint for how to get rid of those restraints and do whatever he wants. So much of the random crap he says gets written off as "he doesn't mean it." He does. He literally wanted to shoot social justice protestors. He used the DoJ to go after people he didn't like or people who protested him. If he gets back in office he won't act any differently.
He's soured our relationships with our allies while he snuggled up to dictators (even shit ones). Look at Mark Milley's comments - ‘We don’t take an oath to a wannabe dictator.’ Hell, he denigrates our service members every chance he gets. There's a reason people say Russia didn't fight with us when Trump was president - because Trump rolled over for them and sold out our allies in Syria. He's literally said he wants to be a dictator, that he wishes we would treat him how North Koreans treat KJU, and his former Chief of Staff has said he praised Hitler.
He's taken massive sums of money from China, and his son from the Saudis. Used his office to line his pockets, while watching tv 8 hours a day or spending his time golfing.
He never pays his bills - a feature from before he was president too - almost 10 states are currently owed money. His own rally-goers recently were stranded at one of his events because he didn't pay the transportation company.
During the pandemic he went out of his way to screw over states who held different political ideologies. He was going to withhold money to California for wildfires until someone told him how many republicans were in the state.
Taking all of those documents home and storing them like he did would get almost anyone else jailed immediately - I'm not including his attempting to dodge giving the documents back, that's a whole other can of worms.
His misinformation during the hurricanes was extremely costly. FEMA even had to stop canvassing in NC because of reports of his supporters looking to assert their own justice on them. All of this "we're spending money in foreign wars and illegal immigrants but not our own country" bullshit is just more madness on top.
He bankrupted casinos. Brilliant business man that one. It's OK though, his current economic 'plan' would only... cost $5T/10yrs, jack up inflation, and make us economically isolationist. At least we'll get some of that back in lower taxes... well 2% of people will at least. Only policy I'll mention.
Literally nothing about this guy indicates that he is a moral person or has any interest in anyone other than himself. He says Biden's 'lock him up' comment was election interference and persecution... no mention of him doing the same things, of course.
Large swaths of Republicans warn against him. He hires 'only the best people' only to fire them over and over again, and it turns out those people think he's not fit for office either. Military leaders warn against him. His former VP won't endorse him. I don't care what the man's policies are - he's spat all over this country in service to himself. Fuck him.

I just want four more years of Trump so we can get more of XX's TDS treatises. Imagine a total of 16 years of these writings, truly an achievement.

Just over a week left for U.S Presidential election.
Brazil blocked Venezuela into BRICS membership and I think India blocked Turkyie as well. Huge turnout in Kazan.
Liberals give my clown Canadian PM to Oct 28th to step down but he won't let relinquish his power willingly. Just hold an election already.
