I have to get documents from the US consulate, not for US reasons but because Japan requires them. It's easy for them to confirm the current marriage status and criminal record of Japanese citizens but for us foreigners, they don't know if we're legally married outside of Japan. I have to get a document from my home country saying that I'm not already married and also not a criminal. So the earliest I could get an appointment is January 24th. So that means the marriage will get registered in February.

Had my consulate appointment, they notarized the "I'm not already married" document and we got two friends to sign our marriage registration as witnesses, got the birth certificate from my mom and so now we just need to go to the local government office to register the marriage. She is going there today to make sure we have everything and then after that, we just choose a date. It will probably be February 14th or something like that. Cliche but whatever.

So looks like Avatar fans are upset because the creators of the Netflix show decided to remove/tone down Sokka's sexism.

t was good enough for children to watch on Nickelodeon but not good enough for adults? Sokka starts off an immature child coping with being useless but he grows into a mature, useful young man that also realizes that girls can be badass.

I also didn't know that the original creators left the show due to creative differences.
