You should watch Michael's own podcast "Your Welcome" (yes that's how it's spelled) just because he has so many different kinds of guests on.San Goku wrote: ↑Mon Oct 19, 2020 4:28 pm A case for Anarchism: https://youtu.be/gx4H6ZlV_vE

Could you imagine if they were actually triplets and had been hiding it this entire time?

Plot twist: there are actually 6, they have their own TV show. They just make it seem like 2 so that no one recognizes them.

In more interesting news, Oregon is going to vote to decriminalize all drugs (but not legalize). In theory all of the money currently spent on incarceration, prosecution, and other costs currently related to dealing with drug users and some from marijuana sales (since marijuana is fully legal in Oregon) would go instead to facilities designed for the treatment of addictions and other drug-related issues. Crimes caused by drug use would still be prosecuted normally, and from what I'm reading dealing is still illegal (i.e. possessing a stockpile).
I'm reading up on more, but the only study cited by the initial article I read used Portugal as an example. They did this in 2001 and found increased drug use but lower problematic drug use. Since Portugal decriminalized up to 10 days worth of a given drug, in theory this wouldn't stop things like passing drugs around with your friends. Assuming appropriate funding is actually there, it's theoretically a winning scenario - we gain more control over our own actions, police worry about more important things, people taken as a whole are more productive. It'd be a large start-up cost though, and given the history in the US of things getting implemented and then defunded I'm not banking on massive success.
I'm also not a huge fan of legalizing drugs like cocaine and bath salts, as those drugs can and will fuck you and others over. I'm also looking for stats on possibly increased pregnancy issues related to drug use, like the baby being born with an addiction. Apparently Canada has also considered the measure.

I'm not particularly educated on identity politics, but I know enough to know that all parties in that first video are just dense. The weightlifter in the article is too - that's not really how any of it works.San Goku wrote: ↑Wed Oct 21, 2020 10:25 pm Black man identifies as a white lesbian to get his point across: https://youtu.be/85IrRPh0caY

Also for the love of everything holy, don't go to bigleaguepolitics.com. It's absolutely nuts. Also, according to Wikipedia it's best known for a getting a politician fired in 2019 from a 1984 yearbook photo, so if you hate that type of thing then be careful of hypocrisy.

I don't know anything about that site but I do know that Wikipedia will gatekeep information when it comes to things being labeled incorrectly on Wikipedia. So basically Wikipedia will call you a white supremacist when you're not and you can't change it.xandorxerxes wrote: ↑Thu Oct 22, 2020 2:31 pmI'm not particularly educated on identity politics, but I know enough to know that all parties in that first video are just dense. Wikipedia is definitely best used to find additional sources on topics and not used as a primary source to avoid that sort of subjectivity from their moderators.Digital Masta wrote: ↑Thu Oct 22, 2020 8:21 pm I don't know anything about that site but I do know that Wikipedia will gatekeep information when it comes to things being labeled incorrectly on Wikipedia.
