Best Animes in the Past 10-15 Years

Post by xandorxerxes »

So some friends came up with the generic "why haven't we seen good anime since <series a bunch of years ago>?" to which my response was "because we're old." That said, I've mostly moved to manga-only, so what would you consider some of the best animes of the past decade or so?

I think it's better maybe to do it in decades of that era. Like in the basketball/NBA commentators/analysts break down the greatest players in the 80's, 90's, 2000's, 2010's..... But some animes span multiple decades too.

Naruto is the easiest one, but I want to think of more recent ones. I would say Shinki no Kyojin (Attack on Titan) anime had my heart pumping in the first 2 seasons. I loved the suspense, action and mystery of the Titans.

Have to put Dragon Ball and even One Piece, although One Piece everyone knows the formula.

Put some respect on JoJo (the newer series) I've been a fan the last 5 years, great shounen with out of the box type of abilities for their characters.

HxH (if there was never a hiatus lol)

Toriko is not everyone's cup of tea but if I could get convinced to accept the fact that people could go on an adventure and kill each other over food it's pretty impressive. I was able to buy into that.

Another newer anime Kimetsu no Yaiba, although we have only seen one season I am convinced we will be talking about this anime being one of the best... or I should say this generation down the road will be saying that.

I honestly haven't watched much new anime in the past 10-15 years. Mainly because I lost interest in the direction anime has taken.

I agree...i liked the CLAMP animes.like holic..tsubasa...psychopass..attack on titan is good...of course naruto and bleach. People are enjoying OnePunchMan. I sort of lost interest in anime and manga in general probably because of age and where it was going?

Yeah, same here. I used to check every season for good anime and watch at least 3 shows.
Nowadays I don’t watch any.
All I do is watch movies or in the rarest occasions tv shows that have great animation like OPM, MOB psycho etc.

I’m too lazy to list all the anime so I found a link which has a decent of anime that I liked https://www.ign.com/articles/2020/01/01 ... -2010-2019

It lists best anime year by year, so you can get a general idea of what you might’ve missed.

^^ Edd's list is definitely better. Made me remember Haikyu!!!!! Was never into sports anime until I watched that series. I don't know why I forgot Bleach but I should just had it in my first post.
