SPRING 2020 Anime Thread

Is it just me or are there a lot of new studios? I don’t even know what to look out for anymore.

Yeah its been a while. I think the last anime I tried to watch was one punch man season 2 and that was horrible.
I think it’s mainly because there’s so many bad anime’s nowadays. They’re mostly catered to otakus.
I watched spirited away yesterday after I saw Netflix updated their anime line up. I actually never finished that movie. Gotta say that movie aged beautifully. Still a magnificent movie.
I also still want to watch kimetsu no yaiba. My bro has been raving about ever since it started.
Btw he still watches anime.

I have to say I need to start putting Respect on Black Clover anime. I acknowledge it as one of the big animes out now.

I watched Dr Stone recently...it was fun. I am currently watching Vinland Saga. It is like AOT with Vikings...which is to say, pretty good. Next up is Promised Neverland.

The current season looks like asshole....so its time to hit the archives for something....thinking of rewatching FMA or FMAB.

That season of one punch man was fairly disappointing for the most part. There were some good things recently like enen no shoubutai.

I'm currently going through all the Ghibli movies on Netflix, and they're amazing, every single one.

If you guys got any other recommendations let me know. I currently prefer movies over series.

Dr stone isn’t a bad read either.

Vinland Saga manga is even better than the anime. It’s one of those mangas that I’d put along side Berserk, Vagabond etc.

Promised Neverland manga is pretty good as well. The manga is almost finished so I expect they will cover the whole story in the anime.

Hosada mamoru is also one of the newer generation of directors that have made a name for themself along with makoto shinkai.
Then girl who leapt through time, summer wars, wolf children and the boy and the beast.
His latest movie is Mirai. Don’t know if that’s out on dvd or for stream though. Should be though since it’s a 2018 movie.

I want to eat you pancreas.
Then there’s the shounen movies like dbz brolly, one piece stampede.

I've seen almost all Makoto Shinkai movies too. Weathering with you still has to come out, I read.

Yeah, I’m always on the lookout for seinen movies as well. Unfortunately there aren’t any. Yuasa does some of those. I’m looking forward to his movies. I don’t think they’re out for download though. Lu over the wall and ride your wave.
Children of the sea looks interesting as well.
