In the comics she's slightly juiced. In the movies it's never mentioned or hinted at.killacross wrote: ↑Wed Dec 04, 2019 9:55 pm I honestly had the same reaction. Watched the trailer and thought immediately...it will catch a RedBox.
As far as the landing...isnt she supposed to be a supersoldier? I thought BW was a failed Captain America experiment for some reason

For me it's the type of movie I'll see if I have time on a Friday(when I get a member's discount at the movies) or if I have enough points on my member card to get a free movie.
Re: There we go
Watched Gemini Man last night and the cgi for young Will really annoyed the hell out of me. Especially because they tried to make a big deal about it by saying how realistic it looked. We still have some ways to go.

Just finished The Irishman. Movie was such a slow burn...and fan-fucking-tastic!
Also, don't know why...but the scene where the FBI is like "Frank, theyre all gone...who are you protecting?" really hit me hard.
Re: There we go
Also the part where he's talking to his daughter (an adult now) and shes like dad you have no idea how hard it was growing up, we couldn't come to you with any of our problems out of fear of what you would do. I was like damn, real shit! Sad that the other daughter just cut him off completely.killacross wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2019 12:26 amJust finished The Irishman. Saw Dark Waters. Thought it would be the stereotypical Hollywood "gotta stand up to the evil organization" kinda thing, because I didn't do any research on it before I went in. It's the same premise, but doesn't fit the mold. Was pretty decent, and I'm not a big Ruffalo fan.

Don't know why but I think it will be a steaming pile (and I mostly liked the first one). I'll wait for reviews here before I pay any money. I'm thinking it will catch the BitTorrent treatment

I'm just confused. Since when do we get DC trailers that don't have the whole movie in them? Unless that actually did represent the whole movie and it is just a chaotic mess.Digital Masta wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2019 1:33 pmI don't really know what to think.killacross wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2019 5:30 am Wonder Woman trailer

Looks like they're bringing in Hawkgirl, or at least setting the stage for it? Maybe just a lookalike cameo?
I'm annoyed that they brought back Chris Pine's character and he didn't age a bit. Obviously the watch scene implies time stopped for him (and his watch I guess somehow), but still. Feels like they just wanted to do the 'now Diana gets to explain to him how the world works instead of vice versa!' schtick. Meh.
Also someone in the production really likes the lasso, geez.

Didn't Bruce say she hid from the world until recently in Justice League?

I vaguely recall that, but a couple of quick google searches didn't turn up anything.Digital Masta wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2019 3:35 pm Didn't Bruce say she hid from the world until recently in Justice League?

Re: There we go
Seriously? The best part of that movie(next to Gadot of course) was his noble sacrifice.
This completely shits on all of that and perpetuates the noxious trope that "no one truly dies" in comic book movies.
It would be one thing if, say... Marvel decided to bring Stark back(that's a bankable franchise they could still milk) but Steve Trevor simply played the part of the McGuffin building the framework for what would become Diana's central character theme.
There's nothing he can add to the storyline in my opinion, he's just an accessory at this point.
Cheap move on DC's part, but I'll wait and see. Maybe he can add something substantive to the plot other than goofy anachronistic commentary, and sidekick one liners.

He definitely said it in passing. No I doubt they're gonna bring in Hawkgirl, but it is a fairly good nod to the Kingdom Come armor.xandorxerxes wrote: ↑Mon Dec 09, 2019 3:05 pmI'm just confused.
