Putin calling america and trump manly is to stroke Trump's ego. He knows he's going to get eastern Ukraine now, Europe's breadbasket and another significant source of natural gasSan Goku wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2024 1:09 pmAmerica is being called manly again, makes sense to me. He was going to get that the minute this war started and they took control of those areas. Had the US not sent Boris Johnson to crush the peace deal that they were negotiating back in spring 2022, Ukraine would've lost significantly less.superbob wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2024 5:39 pmPutin calling america and trump manly is to stroke Trump's ego. And I'm not talking about just land, I'm talking about lives. Thousands of thousands of lives.
You can't be as delusional as to think that Ukraine ever had a real chance?
And no, I'm not condoning what Russia did, I'm just pointing out the reality of the situation.
Re: There we go
100's of thousands of lives!!! On top of that, they have a strong economy and stronger military because ppl really wanted to FOFO. It's better than WW3.Digital Masta wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2024 10:53 pmHe was going to get that the minute this war started and they took control of those areas. Short vid on Canadian politics and the piece of shit Trudeau is. Hopefully we can catch that American wave next year.

60% of the Ukrainian people still want to fight against russia. I have no problem providing them with a means to do that.Digital Masta wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2024 10:53 pmHe was going to get that the minute this war started and they took control of those areas. As long as they want to fight, I will support supplying their fight. They know that this won't be the end of it. In 4 more years they're going to get invaded even further.
I fully expected this thing to last a month once they invasion started, I had no idea how incompetent the russian leadership was... The fact that Ukraine was able to push them as far back as they did with the US preventing them from going any further is insane.
Re: There we go
You believe Ukraine is beating Russia? They have lost a lot of territory. Kursk region alone in the last 3-4 months is over 30K lost. Donbas region have been liberated and annexed into the Russian Federation. Those areas will never go back. Russia has air superiority, has the artillery and, technology manpower. This is just the reality, I'm not advocating. Also, they have a strong economy. Germany shot themselves in the foot, with the help of the U.S. NATO troops (unofficially)and mercenaries have been getting wiped out.superbob wrote: ↑Sat Nov 09, 2024 11:22 pm60% of the Ukrainian people still want to fight against russia. Re: There we go
Russia could end this conflict tomorrow if they so desired, by leaving Ukrainian soil. Russia invaded and annexed, not liberated, those regions. It's the same thing the USSR did in the 40's and 50's after WW2.San Goku wrote: ↑Sun Nov 10, 2024 12:03 amYou believe Ukraine is beating Russia? They have lost a lot of territory. San, you engulf authoritarian propaganda like no one i've ever interacted with before. I never said they were going to win, but no one ever though the colonies would have beaten Brittan in the late 1700's either so strange things can happen. I said that as long as Ukrainian Citizens are willing to defend their country from an invasion from a foreign country, I will support them. If Russia cared about peace they wouldn't have invaded in the first place. They wanted eastern Ukraine not to help the people there, but because of the farm land and natural resources there.
In 2014, shortly before russian mercenaries showed up in eastern Ukraine and started a conflict, massive natural gas deposits were identified. Those same mercenaries shot down a commercial plane.

Well they didn't have nukes in the 1700s either and the longer this goes on the higher the risk of someone doing something stupid gets.
In other news, the visuals for Arcane season 2 Act I are pure cinema. MY GAWD!

Re: There we go
Yeah Russia's doing so well they had to import more meatshields.
The longer it goes on the better it is for the US. Drains Russian resources and people, all we do is sell our old shit to Ukraine and make bank. If Russia steps it up too high then Ukraine wins because we step in. Russia's already fucked itself for a generation.
No one in the world actually thinks we're more manly. Most of our allies are aghast and can't believe we'd do this.
Honestly if I'm Biden, I order a military assassination on Trump and take full credit. Then I put out a standing order to shoot all SCOTUS members and Congressmen unless they pass a constitutional amendment before Christmas (Merry Christmas kids, here's your dad's corpse) preventing this executive power bullshit the SC allowed. Making Trump an example also shows you're serious. Using the military to assassinate Trump as "a threat to Democracy" is easily an official act, so Biden would be immune from prosecution, and he can pardon anyone else involved if he needs to (not that he should, since again it's a military order). Military swore an oath to the Constitution, but since the SC has ruled that it's constitutional guess there's no reason for them not to follow orders. Let Vance take over on Jan 21, Biden can fuck off to the beach to enjoy what's left of life.
If he cared about his party he could only take out Republicans, but then what incentive do Congressional Democrats have to actually get the amendment passed. If you do just Republicans then the governors don't appoint new Congressmen and you don't have a quorum.

XX you usually all about 'democracy', that's not democratic of you lol. Plus I don't don't want the CIA knocking on your door. Someone of them may hi-5 you, but knock on your door nonetheless.

The fact that it wasn't even close is wild. The only person happier about this election than Trump or Biden is Hillary.

Re: There we go
Look at her background too. She actually had the experience.
This guy's not material for the role, but he's at least got military experience, so he's better than most other appointments probably will be.
I've actively avoided the news since well before the election. I still catch snippets so I know what he's said around DoJ and Dept. Ed, but looking things up as topics arise keeps me disengaged enough that I can still tolerate my toddler.
Oh it's definitely not. But the Supreme Court said 'screw democracy' with this ruling so if I'm Biden right now I say 'OK screw it' and make them make it right at gunpoint. He'd be using 'not democracy' to make sure any future actions had to be democratic before someone uses 'not democracy' to be autocratic. I give it... about 2 months. Trump said he's vowing to make good on all of his promises, and half of his promises are autocratic, so...
I saw AoC put up a form for people to respond that voted for both her and Trump. The number of people who said "I voted Democrat except Harris because of Gaza" is just sad. "We hate how Palestinians are being treated so we protested by electing the guy who has greenlit Israel for anything" is a great take.
