I guess the media finally realized they can't lie anymore or lying won't help after Biden's debate.

How is this guy still president. Imagine leaving life or death choices to someone like that.
Man can't even put two sentences together without babbling.
But then again why am I expecting anything from politics. The whole word is going to shit and people are worried about bullshit.

Finally got around to watching the debate. I liked the format of muting mics in between. Also, it wasn't as adversarial or sycophantic as I expected.

Overall...piss poor showing by both...though I lean more towards Trump won. He exaggerated pretty much all of his accomplishments to where he was the greatest thing to happen to the country. Biden was mostly lost in the conversation.

I feel like no one interacts with old people anymore. Like, yeah. The guy's old. That's what happens with old people. He's stuttered all his life, which completely exacerbates everything. He's still mentally there, but he's losing his words. I wouldn't elect him again if I had a choice, but Americans are fucking awful and didn't give me a damn choice again.

That said... I didn't watch the debate. I went to a conservative site that had an article called biden's worst moments and watched them there. I assume the other moments were better, so his worst was better than I was expecting after seeing all the negative headlines.

Here's the thing though - trump is completely gone. Was in 2016 too. His sentences have never made any sense. He's never said anything of substance, and he always meanders into random irrelevant shit. He just makes things up as he goes and people go with it. It blows my mind that we rake Biden over the coals and we let trump go like "that's just how he is." No damnit, that's just how Biden is too AND IT'S NOT HOW IT SHOULD BE.

Let's go all the way though - let's say they're both mentally cooked. They've got nothing left. Trump surrounds himself with yes-men who tell him he's the second coming of Jesus and they just do whatever he wants. Biden surrounds himself with a normal cabinet of experts. Do you want the cooked guy who listens to no one and makes shit up as he goes along? Or do you want the cooked guy with actual people who know what they're doing around him?

A while ago Rolling Stone put out a list of everything trump said he would do if he got re-elected. It's terrifying, and yet he's said worse since. Project 2025 is terrifying. Democrats are the fucking stupidest people for putting up at least two shit candidates (I don't know that I can make a good argument 2020 Biden was a shit candidate) in 12 years against this giant North Korean wannabe.

Sounds cool. Do you eat a lot of pasta? My wife just said she wanted to get the pasta attachment to our kitchenaid mixer...but we maybe eat spaghetti or lasagna or something pasta related every other month.

Unrelated - Do people really care about Caitlin Clark? I thought it would be an oddity in passing...but youtube is determined to report every breath she takes or a story pops up on yahoo news.

I personally don't care and think it will no longer be relevant and completely gone in another 3 months

And unrelated, unrelated. Decided to re-watch MCU phases 1-3 in chronological order

His cabinet is so many magnitudes better than Trump's I can't even begin. We had absolutely massive brain drain due to incompetent and antagonistic leadership under Trump. If I thought trump has a coherent thought I'd consider the idea that he did it to implode the departments from within.

Which agencies are you thinking about that are bad? Biden's definitely got some unqualified people leading some of them, but it's the usual unqualified where they let people do their jobs and just go about pretending they know what's going on instead of ineptly making them do something else from what I've seen, but there's also a bunch of agencies I haven't paid attention to since I mostly care about a few of them.

Baby is good. She's easier going than the first one, but just having a second kid is a massive drain on my energy and time. With just one kid if one of us needed a break or something came up at work it was no sweat to cover. With two (plus pets) it can be rough.

Think she's starting to teethe though, was waking up every 30 minutes last night for a while.

After the immunity case at the supreme court I think Biden should just ask the justices what they think about him ordering their and Trump's assassination. According to their ruling that's entirely legal for him to do.

Basically it says that conservatives should replace the entire executive branch with political appointees instead of any sort of "merit-based" (to quote Wikipedia) hiring.

Kill anything climate related and promote fossil fuels, kill any federal enforcement agency and replace them with military members, kill health agencies, kill anything involving any sort of racial or sexual equality, kill the department of education, promote Christianity throughout the government.

So... kill anything science related that told Trump that he was wrong at any point, anything conspiracy related or related to the "deep state" that was negative to Trump at any point, and replace them all with people who tow the line instead of have any knowledge about anything.

I honestly don't even care about pro sports anymore. I do think she is good for the WNBA but I don't think she's gonna change much in the long run because this isn't really going to change anything about people not caring about the WNBA.

I do also love how her existence has really shown how racist and ridiculous the WNBA is. It's been known to be a difficult place for straight women but here comes a straight (I believe) white woman who has so much skill that she's actually attracting people to WNBA games...oh no we can't have that.

So some out here trying to destroy her and would rather fuck with the money than take this opportunity to try and capitalize on it for everyone. If someone seriously injures her then I imagine WNBA attendance and attention would sink to below what it was before Clark...if that is even possible.

I also find it funny when people say she has pretty privilege. I'm like "What?" she's pretty average and there are much better-looking women in the WNBA, along with a bunch of butch-ass, hood-looking chicks. But her fellow rookie,Cameron Brink is way better-looking.

And man, this made me search and why do all the black WNBA players that are attractive all have this "for the weekend vibe" while all the white ones look like women you'd wife up?

Caitlin Clark is the real deal and the only reason I give a fuck slightly about the WNBA. Angel Reese is good too and will be a star. It's inconceivable that the WNBA and women's basketball don't roll out the red carpet for her. She should be on the women's Olympic basketball team. Don't fumble the bag WNBA. I actually want them to win but they're trying to shoot them selves in the foot at times. Drive that NCAA momentum. If you are not selling sex appeal with beautiful athletic women (which is a must), then I should be getting Caitlin Clark. I'm a basketball/NBA head.

@Bob that is a bold statement, makes me want to look into this pasta thing.

It's Canada Day right now. Happy Canada Day.

Ubuyashiki gave one of the greatest F- You to Muzen. I loved it. Looking forward to the next arc for Kimetsu no Yaibai.

Edit

Anyone watching Copa America and Euro Cup?

I was preparing to have the conversation with you... But while I was trying to get my thoughts together.. I had a change of heart.

You are right.

I originally thought that the government bloat and infrastructure was a bad thing. While I think the individuals put in charge are better on the Trump side VS the Biden side... The truth is that an individual isn't changing the bureaucracy. I thought that was a bad thing... But honestly, it probably provides the stability we enjoy in the US.

I would much prefer shrinking the government VS a Vivek solution of going to 50% overnight...but neither candidate is proposing to do that.

So of the figure heads appointed by both administrations. I disagree less with the ones Trump appointed, so I preferred them. Both sides were shit at their jobs.

Killa, Biden had a cold....and Jet Lag. I was wrong for the way I interpreted reality.

Edit

I wasn't aware that Infinity Castle arc for Kimetsu no Yaibai was going to be a trilogy movie. I feel a bit better now that I know. I thought the entire arc was going to be crammed in one movie but we will get 3 movies.

How is this better. It's not like the previous movie had movie quality animation. It was basically 3 episodes crammed into 1. Was nothing special about it. We had to wait forever to see it, cause ufotable likes to milk this franchise.

Good point. Don't get me wrong, I definitely prefer another season instead a movie. The Mugen Train arc was indeed 1 movie with everything crammed. 3 movies will at least be less crammed and they'll have more freedom to go all out. The wait is going to kill me though. I might just have to read the manga 😔

Grandma passed away this morning after a week in end of life hospice care... It's been expected for about 6 months now, and she's had progressively worse dementia over the last 5 years.

Still though, even though I was expecting this, it's still tough.

R.I.P 🙏🏾. It is indeed hard to deal with regardless if you anticipate it coming. My grandmother passed away this year as well.
