People are responsible for their actions, regardless of what predicated them. You can argue that previous conditions justify those actions, but just saying so doesn't make it true. If I shoot an intruder in my home, that's justifiable homicide in most states. If I capture an intruder, torture them for days, skin them alive, then drag their carcass through the streets behind my car that's not justifiable. Enjoy the gray area in-between.

Israel attempted to colonize Palestinian lands. Hamas has limited options thanks to their status internationally, so I don't know that diplomacy was ever actually an option, but they didn't choose to do something like declare war; they chose to terrorize people. Did all of the people slaughtered want Palestinians dead? Of course not. Even if one accepted the argument that there are Israelis who deserve death for holding despicable views (I don't), those children certainly didn't.

I understand that Israel isn't some goody two-shoes that never does anything wrong. However, Hamas's response was reprehensible and not justifiable at all. All it did was give Israel a justification to respond with greater violence than they otherwise would have been restricted to. If you still want to argue that Israel is responsible for the attack because of the events leading up to it, then Palestine is responsible for Israel's current offensive. No. Israel must be held accountable for what it does in response, because Israel and Israel alone is responsible for its actions.

I couldn't agree more.

@xander, everybody's saying Hamas did this Hamas did that (a lot of the shit in the news have been proven wrong by the way. Kids and babies beheadings and women being raped. What do you expect from western media propaganda). Israel has been killing innocent Palestinians for decades now. Throwing them in jail and torturing them for throwing rocks. Even small kids.
And you want to talk about justifiable.
So what you're basically saying is Palestinians can shoot and kill Israelis because they're the intruders in their homes. Imagine if they had done that years ago. Then there wouldn't be a war to worry about today, but no Palestinians welcome the Jews with open arms and look what that got them.
Also you seem to misunderstand something.
I'm not saying the Israelis with those wrong and despicable thoughts deserved to die, I'm just saying that I don't feel sorry for them.
If you're out there screaming and yelling that Palestinians should die and are worthless and they should get out of the country, you won't get much sympathy from me.
Also how can Hamas declare war? Is Hamas backed up by a country with an army. No, they're a rebellious group. How are they going to war with Israel that's has a big army and is backed up by the west?
You guys are looking this from the west point of view.
Look at what Hamas did blablabla, Israel has a right to defend itself now with even greater violence. You think Hamas was created out of thin air and started violence out of no where.
It's funny when every other country that defended themselves in history were called heroes and now that it concerns people from the middle east/moslims we're terrorist all of sudden.
Israel is killing Palestinians daily like they're livestock, but when someone on their side dies it's horrible act of violence. Bitch who the fuck cares if an Israeli shoots a bullet threw your skull/bomb on your head or Hamas kills you flying in with gliders.
Dead is dead.
It's not like Israelis got tortured, skinned alive and all that BS you hear in the media.

You guys should check out this show on Netflix called Neon. About a up and coming Reggaeton artist in Miami, it's pretty funny. Daddy Yankee is the Exec producer.

Randomly started watching some Naruto eps where Naruto and Sakura went after Sasuke who is going after Gaara. I'm at the part where Orochimaru revealed he's a tranny to the 3rd hokage. I was thinking Kishimoto should do a Gaiden of the 3rd in his prime (I'm sure we mentioned this plenty of times). Also in the time skips it would have been good for Konohamaru inherited something from the 3rd, like high Chakra reserves. I think he's able to do toad summons now? But it would have been better if he could summon Enma monkey.

Everyone talks about alternatives...but I honestly don't think it'll happen unless Apple, Microsoft, Amazon...wants to start a service that shit ton of people would want to use...but not pay for

Without ads...I never understood how Google made any money from it...so I assumed they were just leaving billions on the table for no good reason

I watch A LOT of youtube...but guess that's changing going forward

R.I.P Matthew Perry. He was part of an iconic show although Living Single was way better.

He was in a hot tub I heard. What would you have to be doing to drown in a hot tub?

Masturbate is one but I think the obvious was drinking or drugs. Wifey said he was addicted to alcohol, I didn't know that.

Edit

I had no idea Matthew Perry beat up Justin Trudeau when they were kids. Now I'm really going to miss him. R.I.P 🙏🏾

I didn't know Hideki Kamiya left Platinum Games this month. He started a YT and he isn't allowed to work in the game industry for year.

I never understand non-compete clauses. How are they legally enforceable. Something tells me if pushed they actually aren't.

The man was a habitual pill and drug user throughout his whole career, said so in his autobiography. Like Carrie Fisher and just about everyone who was part of the WWF in the 80's, there's only so much coke and pills the heart can take.

He had an absolutely wretched childhood and absolute shit parents. However, that neglect and abuse isn't what drove his addiction in my opinion, it was his fake acceptance and forgiveness. I heard parts of his autobiography and it is filled with him not blaming his parents for what happened. It's sad really. Considering they are directly responsible for his childhood.

They had him on barbiturates as an infant and his dad thought the reaction of him knocking out when he drugs hit was hilarious. A god damn infant!

But it depends on the level of your position and the industry

You work on the line.. Who cares?
You're a plant manager.. And you're going from this injectable site to this injectable site? Absolutely not!! At least for a year or 2

There hasn't been a whole lot to test them, but general sentiment is rising that they aren't fully enforceable if someone really, really fought them. Usually what happens is someone takes a job that's different enough and the non-compete is just kind of overlooked. Can't speak to non-US law though.

Have a specialist physician neighbor who isn't really willing to risk it, so she's been looking out of state. I figure if the state is going to fight against non-competes she would be a prime example of one they wouldn't want to lose given the shortage of medical personnel, but still not worth the headache to her. I'd guess the less you need money the less it matters to you, so there probably won't be anyone contesting it for a while given the time and money it would take to fight it.

Settlement for the families who were separated at the border was announced. No direct monetary compensation. Along with the US being required to establish a no-separation policy for at least 8 years, the families that were separated will receive:
  • Interview with an asylum officer about their experience (not sure what this entails yet)
  • Work authorization and housing benefits (not specified)
  • Access to mental health resources
For families that still haven't been reunited (approximately 1,000 children still not located 5 years later, apparently recordkeeping was extremely shoddy) the government will continue to assist in reuniting them. That includes finding parents that were deported and bringing them back.

Note that this isn't final - a judge hasn't accepted the deal yet.
