There we go
Re: There we go
The new S24 Samsung camera I heard is amazing. It makes sense of the size, you have a mini high tech computer at the palm of your hand, plus you can do professional photography and video shoots, gaming and AI work.
Re: There we go
^That's what I would recommend as well. Samsung has a lot of cheaper smaller models that are pretty decent for what you're paying for it.
I bought a Samsung S21 ultra when it came out, but like you said. Phones are too big to carry on you. So I'm back to using my iphone 8 as my regular and the S21 ultra as my media device.
My iphone has been acting up lately though. I think I burned my screen or something (got too warm, while charging and facetiming at the same time) and now the screen is all fucked.
So I need to buy a new phone as well. I'm in the same dilemma as you. Get a smaller phone and be satisfied with the limited specs or buy a bigger phone and have a fast phone with an awesome screen, but impossible to carry on you.
@San, you mean the s23 hahah the s24 hasn't even been announced yet.
I'm not one to bash live action shows just because they're based on a manga, but OP is so bad. I doubt anyone over 12 could enjoy the show unless you're a total fanboy

Re: There we go
I find it to be "not terrible". I'm on episode 6 I think that the Straw Hats and probably the strongest part of the show.
-I don't mind the Brazilian dude as Luffy, except that his non-native English speaking makes his line delivery kind of wooden and strange. Also, I think it's weird that he was so brown as a little boy and had perfect native English. Just be consistent, try to get a kid with a similar accent or one that can do a similar accent and also look like the main actor. Also, he was much more mature and logical in his thinking as a child and that makes no damn sense. He got sillier as he got older.
-Nami's actress is probably the strongest actor on the show among the Straw Hats. However, they should have just dyed her hair like they did for Sophie Turner (Sansa Stark) instead of giving her that awful orange wig.
-Zoro and Sanji are pretty okay.
-Usopp is...Usopp, I can understand why they toned down his cowardliness.
-Koby, the woman playing him is not a bad version of early Koby (more on Koby's story expansion later)
Everyone else looks like cosplay and it's driving me crazy and the makeup is bad, Dude who played Kuro tried his best but he just looked weird. Captain Morgan looked like TRASH.
The fishmen are straight-up NIGHTMARE FUEL...as are the Den Den Mushi. Please don't give snails teeth. But I can't take Arlong and his guys seriously at all, it's such bad makeup. Definitely tone down the makeup.
Oh, from the minute Arlong started talking I knew he was being played by a black dude, and why the hell are they playing hip-hop for this theme? I have some questions.
The Straw Hats' outfits and Garp's outfits are pretty solid. Except Garp's dog hat looks like trash.
-Also, they straight up disrespected Makino, She's considered to be very beautiful and the woman that plays her is just...not. The woman who played Kaya looked nothing like her (it's the nose). Yes, Oda can basically only draw beautiful women who are some version of Nami but it seems like they're trying to go for a more "homely" look for women outside the Straw Hats.
-Why the hell is Beckman fat?
-Getting Vincent Regan to play Garp is fine, he's a good actor. I'm undecided on the approach of having Garp chase Luffy, I know why they did it because they're family but I think Smoker would've made more sense at this point. Also, they're trying to paint Garp as being somewhat responsible and serious when he's just not at all. Although they are putting in moments where he actually acts more like Garp.
I can see the argument for expanding on Koby and Helmeppo's (Why the FUCK did he have a nude scene?) relationship but I think the payoff for them is better if we don't see them that often and they show up much stronger.
I can't get over this feeling of cheapness and goofiness (not in a good way) when watching it.
EDIT: Unrelated but...HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

Supposedly Oda was very involved and had to approve things. Whatever that entails I have no idea.
That's probably the target audience, since shonen. Any depth to OP would only come later in the series right? Or do I not remember things?
Living the lifestyle is expensive, man.

Is there a debate? I'm agreeing with you - you probably have to be a kid to enjoy it because as I recall the manga, especially in the beginning, is marketed to kids. I left the question open at the end because hell if I remember anything, let alone the beginning of OP, so I'm down to be wrong.

Watched with the fam, from grandma who recently got a stroke, grand aunts, son and mother in law. Only one thought it was silly.xandorxerxes wrote: ↑Tue Sep 05, 2023 9:13 pmIs there a debate? They are taking One Piece live action pretty seriously. I really liked Arlong, made him G'd up. Fisherman are the real ninjas of One Piece. Along pretty much calling Jinbe a coon had me rolling. Looking back now at seeing Zoro's failed attempt in fighting Mihawk is hilarious, what was he thinking .
I couldn't be the only one thinking that there needs to be a 3some with Nojiko, Nami and myself or just a live action porn version?

My son's first day in JK. So proud of him. Mom was up in the middle of the night, didn't even know, probably freaking the hell out for no reason. Everything went well. Some kids were screaming like they were about to be taken to the slaughter house. I was saying, thank God that's not my kid.

That female Spanish football star files a criminal complaint over the kiss scandal. Yup, they are looking to cancel that guy. I don't know what processed him to kiss her. Shoot your shot I guess.

Bleach actually kept in the semen like from Yumichika but only for the Japanese TV release. All streaming platforms have him saying a different line.

Re: There we go
So Ashton Kutcher put out a letter supporting a rapist or something I heard. I was just thinking to myself what if Danny Masterson sang the 70's song in prison everyday for the rest of his life, then I started to laugh to myself. I'm an idiot, but you guys already know that.
Talking to the fam today about that sentencing, seems a bit excessive for rape 30 years (not taking up for him), just off precedent on other similar charges I've seen. They must really want to make an example out him. I have no problem with that either
