makes me sad...this is obviously gonna be like someone telling you a hilarious joke they heard...but can't get teh delivery right. You hear the words...you understand why it's funny....but the laughter isn't genuine...it's to protect feelings

I want to have faith that his team was so in sync with the man that it will be almost like getting the real thing. I mean it's not NOT the real thing but it is different.

They definitely got the whole "lots of pages of stuff but no plot progression" part down-packed though.

They seem to be being respectful. Kouji has said (and you can google the quote) that Miura confided in him and told him the story. He has said he wants to see it through as he thinks it's what Miura would have wanted. What I appreciated most was that he indicated he would only retell the story as Miura told him, he wouldn't elaborate and to set expectations that they will be some gaps. If that's the case I love it.

The art in these chapters was excellent and a really good imitation but it was off and I expect it will only get worse. I don't mean that to be overly critical because I would honestly be happy with just a transcript to finish the story and we're getting so much more. It is really interesting to see how different Berserk looks without Miura's direction. The splash pages don't have the same impact, the detail isn't there and even the facial expressions and posture is off. It isn't jarring but I have had to reset my expectations slightly.

Spoilers ahead for anyone not up to speed on the latest two...

I'm not sure how or why the dragonslayer passed through Griffith. Even if he's on another plain I had expected it to make contact. It's so drenched in blood and so used to slicing up Apostles that I imagined it would be no different to Skullknights sword. Speaking of which he is on the island. Between Gutts and him I can't see Zodd surviving... I'm also not sure we'll see Skullknight survive either. If more Apostles pile on I can see him securing an escape for everyone. I'm not sure I want that to happen though. Time willing I'd have loved to see more of Skullknights story, we had only scratched the surface but we were also just starting to get more details.

Gutts held back the Berserk armour which was good to see. Perhaps the visions he had of Skullknights death have given him renewed motivation.

Griffith was born back into the human world through gut's and caska's child, so he turns into the child on the full moon. but since this moon lasted longer on elf island, it seems he was finally able to organize his thoughts and switch back into his god hand form, and summon Zodd

I remember the unborn child but I had no idea Griffith took over, thought it was it's own person.
