The manga just hit a new match-end point, for those who want/need to catch up.

I'm trying to figure out what Ippo's supposed to be learning in Mexico. Only things they've mentioned so far are how different a fighter Sendo is from normal and the whole 'visiting fighter' thing again.

It's not like he's got anything to learn from the "do or die" Mexican warrior style of boxing, he's already such a gritty rugged fighter.

He should probably learn from Duran and Chavez Sr. True Panaman and Mexican warriors!

Thinking about it a few days later, I'm guessing he's going to stress out in the audience but instead of watching the fighter, he's going to be watching the 2nds. I don't know what exactly he would learn, but this whole arc seems to be about learning all of the people the fighters rely on that he seems to have not noticed before. Maybe seeing Sendo's Kamogawa-equivalent will finally instill in him that missing piece that Takamura knows about.

For some reason I'm just worried that the author is going to kill off Kamogawa before Ippo actually gives his thanks to him. Not sure why, but that thought cropped up the last few chapters.

No particular reason in the manga lends to that. Just a possible plot point that goes through my head due to things I've seen other authors use.

Fight has gotten really good. No crazy gimmick stuff, and really intense. It seems to be wrapping up, too... but I always underestimate how long these things can go for.

Fell off my radar for a while. Between-fight filler/comedy done, Takamura fight set to start.

Anyone still following this. The moment has come what we've all been waiting for. Looks like Ippo is about to spar. Damn seeing all these guys together is getting me hyped.

It's funny I watched you hype this Manga for years but never took the time to deep dive in it.
