It's a quick read, much more art-heavy than word-dense. It's set up very well as a first chapter insofar as there are systematic things to flesh out and plot points to follow up on that're more than "get the villain." It's much stronger than your generic "new manga first chapters," probably because he's already an established mangaka and because he had 76 pages to write it in.
That said it's another supernatural strength/being/aspect/power type, so it will need to distinguish itself in some way from other mangas/stories.

This is a strange one, just like Tokyo Ghoul I find it hard to follow what’s going on
