If you're going to do something dumb enough to lose your job over (even ignoring COVID), at least get a hooker instead of a stripper.

Saw clips of the royal funeral. All it means is the queen is gonna be next very soon. I'd bet within 3 months.

Next anime plot - she's almost immortal but needs more so she tries to re-annex America. Japan is our only hope. Only by spreading their nakama culture and fighting off the queen's evil guards can she be stopped.Cane_The9lives wrote: ↑Sun Apr 18, 2021 1:15 pmThat woman's life-force subsists off the energy generated from collective British malaise, and resigned disillusionment.killacross wrote: ↑Sun Apr 18, 2021 6:59 am Saw clips of the royal funeral. Shang Chi teaser trailer.
It looks entertaining (minus the whole cut n' paste generic Marvel trailer formula) but yeah, the stakes in Marvel have just fallen off a cliff since Endgame. Looks fun but...
Awkafina.

pending some acceptable COVID tests -- I'm getting flewed out to Italy on Sunday. Flying RDU to JFK to FCO to a train ride to Bologna. Working at the vendor's site. Train ride back on Friday. Flying back stateside on Saturday. I'm staying in a hotel overnight...then driving back Sunday.
...Gonna be a rough week

Re: There we go
Whelmed for that trailer/movie
..I assume it will be good because they have a decade long history [BUUUUT.. Ironman 3 is out there]
More excited for this:
https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=Gj2iCJkp6Ko
Also...gonna be a rough week just because of the schedule. We are doing a vendor visit to inspect a multimillion dollar piece of pharma manufacturing equipment. Italy has 2 laws right now...either we quarantine for a month ...OR you can be in the country for 5 days (120 hrs) with negative results entering and leaving.
So my itinerary
+Get tested Saturday morning
+Fly out NC to NJ (1p on Sunday)
+Fly out NJ to Rome (with the time shift...we fly out 5p...land 7a Monday (its an 8 hr flight))
+Get tested again in the airport (they say budget 4 hrs 11a Monday)
+Take a train from Rome to Bologna (3 hrs 2p Monday)
+Work at the jobsite (2p - 7p Monday)
+Then up and starting at 6a-7p Tues - Thurs)
+Travel from the jobsite to the train, train to hotel at the Airport (Friday night)
+Fly out Saturday and land stateside [ATL] Saturday (lunch (11 hr flight!!!!)
+Then ATL to NC and land 1030pm
+I'm staying in a hotel Saturday night....and coming home Sunday
**Edit**
Not sure why my post is partially italicized

The US, of course, is not an exempted country because we are shit at controlling COVID.Are U.S. citizens required to quarantine? Yes
Travelers departing on COVID-tested international flights between the United States and Italy are not currently subject to quarantine upon arrival in Italy. Please check with your private carriers with respect to availability.
On April 2, 2021, the Ministry of Health issued an order extending quarantine measures outlined in its March 30th order as well as the Italian government’s March 2nd decree through April 30, 2021. All travelers otherwise arriving in Italy from abroad must self-isolate for a period ranging from 5 to 14 days depending on their country of origin unless they are traveling from an exempted country or for a purpose that falls under current exceptions. A list of these countries and exceptional purposes for travel can be found on the Italian Ministry of Foreign Affairs’ website.
Re: There we go
That is a crazy and hectic schedule to Italy @killa.
The U.S shit at controlling COVID? You guys seem to be doing a lot better than Canada at least with executing the vaccines. We have a supply issue, and what they won't say but everyone can see now a dependency issue. We need to manufacture and build more shit in Canada especially if it is of national H&S concern. All levels of Government did invest billions into a vaccine manufacturing facility in Toronto so that's a good thing but it's reactionary.

Re: There we go
We had a strong start to vaccinations, but we've gotten to the point where a good chunk of the voluntary vaccinators have their vaccines. Now that we're over the initial surge it's tapering off. But the US is also loosening everything back up because it's assumed that having a vaccine means everything's all dandy again, except it doesn't.San Goku wrote: ↑Tue Apr 20, 2021 3:09 pm That is a crazy and hectic schedule to Italy @killa.

But we've always been bad at preventative measures as a country. 40% of our country has had at least one vaccine shot (25% are fully vaccinated), we've had massive amount of people contract it before, and we're still somehow trending up in cases.
