In the comment section to that link was an interesting question. How would Mihawk compare to Oden? To me obviously Oden because he could challenge Roger and Whitebeard... I think Mihawk would give anyone a challenge though.

I’d put Mihawk above Oden. Shanks and Mihawk are supposed to be evenly matched, and I definitely put Shanks above Oden. We’re getting really close to chapter 1000. Luffy vs Kaido must be close

They were evenly matched when Shanks had both his hands...and Shanks lost his dominant arm (he's a lefty). Mihawk refused to duel him again after that.

Since we are getting close to 1000 chapters, I expect or hope Luffy has the advanced haki down to take on Kaido. Again I said this before based on the anime (intro) we are getting hints on that is where we are going. Luffy will be Yonko level soon.

Also it’s been stated that Kaidos stronger now than when he fought Oden, and Shanks was able to keep Kaido away from Whitebeards war.
