Anyone watch the season finale of Loki? Pretty good season for 6 episodes. Looking forward to season 2.

I said get some 20s so I can tip our moving crew (5 people) -- she apparently got $700 out of the safe and didn't count it (because she expected me to). I just handed them the wad of cash and said thank you for the help (originally scheduled for 3 days -- but because I have already moved so much stuff -- it was done in 4 hrs labor + a 1 hr drive)
Wait a minute did you give them a $700 tip or was the $700 the full price inclusive tip?
If you gave them a $700 tip, you're one crazy dude.

@San, yeah I liked Loki more than Wanda and FatWS.
I'm wondering how much everybody else is missing if they don't follow the shows and go cold into the next fase of Marvel movies.

unfortunately, yes -- $700. Not crazy -- just irresponsible. My fault because I should have never expected a woman to do a MAN's job -- you know...counting. We aren't paying for the move -- her company gave her a $20k relocation budget. All in all - I bet it comes out to like $3k. You figure the company bills by the lb -- and then probably adds a time component. So 5 people (at probably $15/hr..but for easy math say $20/hr) = $100/hr. x 5 hrs = $500 + gas + weight + materials. I think $3k will be about right.

We have actually given bigger tips and given away bigger money before. It wasn't the plan...but we just look at it as we blessed that crew for their hard work. They probably needed the money more than us and the universe is helping them out. It's only been 2 days and I already forgot about it [or that I shared it here]. Apparently, it isn't enough to trigger my emotions.

I'm all for helping people. But it's not like they're poor or anything. They all have jobs. $700 is half of what they were supposed to get paid haha. So you gave them 50% extra.
Then again there are worse things you can do then to help people. Like you said if you do good for other people. Good will come to you as well.. eventually.. hopefully haha

You know a series is great when you feel satisfied at the ending after investing so much time and emotion. Another reminder that GoT failed.

No idea what I was looking at. I tried to watch the old movie from the 1980s...it was unwatchable.

But I'm guessing we are living through the death of the movie theatre industry. All of these blockbusters coming to my home directly. It means they are about to ramp up on pirating of movies. Too much money is being lost to this.

I find myself watching movie/tv reaction channels and it becomes really apparent how much better films were before roughly the 2010s. In particular the 90s.Fantastic films were made in the 90s.

I don't think they were necessarily better per se...it's that they were not formulaic and they weren't all counter-culture/woke garbage. They understood the purpose was to have fun and entertain...not lecture and educate

Today, it feels like you are watching the same movie...or parts of the same movie...over and over.

I think of Avatar in particular [because it's getting 3-4 sequels]. It was one of if not THE most successful movie of all time was a combination of Fern Gully, Pocahontas, Dances with Wolves, etc etc...and it was surface level at that....BUT MAN WAS IT PRETTY!!

Masters of the Universe is out and the rumors were 100% true. Both from reviewers and fan reviews. Fuck even Grace Randolph straight up said there are no strong male figures in the show.

They kill off He-Man two times apparently. Once in the very first episode and then again later.

They kill off Skeletor in the first episode as well.

There is supposed to be a part two but it really doesn't matter. The well as been poisoned.

I haven't watched it.

Both official reviewers and "fan reviewers" (not sure what that means I didn't know that there was some certification to review things. Just like in order to be a journalist you must work for CNN or some shit) have confirmed these things.

IGN straight up said "It's basically the Teela show." And they aren't a bastion of anti-woke thought.

Whether I watch it or not is irrelevant. The rumor was that they sideline the star of the show. Which is what they did.

Oh boy so they chose destruction I see. Such a shame there was still time to prevent this sin from expanding in the universe. Let me know how it goes and if I should watch it.
