I never picked up CSM...but have heard people talk about it here and there

...I'll give it my usual "3 episode rule" that I give every anime that catches my eye, every season. If it can't grab my interest/attention in the first 3 eps..I drop it

My concern is that the series is good, it's fun, but it's not amazing or one of those life-changing series but I guarantee everyone on the internet, especially on youtube is gonna go all, "OMFG THIS IS ONE OF THE BEST SERIES EVER!!!"

It's not.
Does it really matter? People judge animes different from how they judge mangas.
Animation can make an okay manga look amazing (Demon Slayer).
I like great storytelling created by animators and great directors that make amazing storyboards.
It’s what makes anime so great.
Just look at OPM for example. Season 1 was a lot of fun and had great action in it which carried the show.
Season 2 was handled by a different studio and staff and you can tell how much something like that means for a manga adaptation.
The difference between two seasons was like night and day.

People are free to like what they like, doesn't mean they have good taste. When I see comments saying that Chainsaw Man's story is a masterpiece, I'm like, "Either you are really young and therefore haven't had enough time to actually read/watch manga and anime with great stories, or you have just bad taste." Now I'm not saying CSM is a terrible story, it's not but it ain't hanging with the best. And like I said it looks like it will be visually stunning.

Think of it like this, people enjoy Fairy Tail, but is it good compared to other shonen series that follow the same formula? Nah, it's pretty bad. (the sequel story was better).

My old man turned 70 this year, so we went on one of his bucket list trips. Just got back from a week of fly fishing in alaska, including 2 days of salmon fishing. Came back with 30 lbs of fresh caught wild pacific salmon for my freezer.

I have a confession...I've never been fishing.

Also Prey is a solid 6/10.

It's different, I think it might peak your interest enough to follow through.

That is amazing, and that is on my things to do list too except I want to hunt for some big game like deer and/or Moose. Anywhere actually for deer and moose is something I want to do.

I've done ice fishing in N/E Ontario when I was in university, super fun. We didn't stay in a shed either, drilled about 8-10 holes attached with a bell and as soon as they rung I ran to pull them out. It was too hard to do it with my gloves on so I had to take them off and burn my fingers in -35C temp. School buddy is half Native and has his status card so fish was unlimited.

I haven't been fishing again since university and would need a refresher on everything again like I've never done it before. I hear the Alaska cruise are popular too, looking at the huge icebergs.

Oh the Predator movie, that means it's a good movie I will check it out. You know what's funny I was watching some Variant Comics YouTube recap clips today and one clip was about Beta Ray Bill and just thought to myself wow I still didn't care to go see the new Thor Love and Thunder movie yet, probably because of female Thor looking like the star of the show. If it was about Beta Ray Bill, probably sold a couple billion by now. I am looking forward to She Hulk.

I grew up with city parents that haven't even thought about fishing so I never really took to it. I want to try it though.

I wouldn't say it was good. Is 6/10 sex good sex? Nah. Or a 6/10 BJ? It was just not absolutely terrible. There are issues with it. Like the main character has no personality or growth of any kind.

Currently on a plane to Okinawa with the girlfriend for our 2nd anniversary trip. God damn, Japanese flight attendants really are the best (really Asia in general). The women are so feminine and look great.

I know the 6/10 ones but at the end I'm like at least getting to blow my load is better than not and releasing some stress but I get your point.

Fuck, I wish I made it work out in Japan when I went all those years ago. Am I too old to say fuck it now and move to Japan?

Let us know how Okinawa is, have fun.

We are at the point where we can make this a reality and make it good but you need a shit load of money. It amazes me how far the fan concepts have come.

I have no faith in a Naruto live action adaption. Some things are just unfilmable, one piece especially (and the psychos over at netflix are already producing that dumpster fire as we speak.)

I cant see having a Blond haired blue eyed obnoxious ninja, who pals around with a pink haired priss and a tortured edge-lord becoming anything other than another headstone in the ever growing cemetery of anime adaptions.
