Re: There we go
It's amazing how it hits the nail on the head by correctly identifying characteristics and misses every context at the same time. It literally references the protestant influences but as a characteristic of 'whiteness' instead of an American zeitgeist. I get what they're trying to do, but this just ...

Re: Movie Reviews
Warrior Nun Netflix series very loosely based on the comic book. Starts as a slow burn laying foundations, then goes haywire about halfway through. Ending doesn't really jive (the more I think on it the more forced it feels), and they attempt to leave it on a cliffhanger but it's more like the endi...

What's wrong with anal? Besides...I used to think my daughter would be a dentist....but this little boy has been following her around daycare. He's in EVERY picture. We've talked...and I've decided my daughter will be a nun. https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=7qIrz-itams Hadn't thought about that movi...

I wouldn't home school... Tho I see the benefit in learning boys are always boys and girls are always girls.. You don't get to change your DNA. I just think that I would send my kid to a decent or high scoring public school to learn how to read, write, and do math... And manage the moral and social...

Re: There we go
What does retiring have to do with educating your child? Why would you see that task as "not retiring"? It's his child, not a client. He mentioned that retiring would also mean he does some other kinda of work where he takes on a 3-4 month contract. Home schooling doesn't mean you sit you...

Fight has gotten really good. No crazy gimmick stuff, and really intense. It seems to be wrapping up, too... but I always underestimate how long these things can go for.

Re: There we go
Not if they home school. That's not retiring and would pretty much preclude him from working at all, but yes it's an option. That also seems a bit counterintuitive - the argument that homeschooling is better than public schooling is one thing, but as someone who is entirely about economic markets I...

As I've said many times before start your own thing. Not necessarily in that industry but in your YEARS of experience you've definitely developed a skill that people want and would pay you for. Maybe it's an info product or maybe it's some form of consulting or something. There are also people out ...

Re: Boku No Hero Academia
Seems like AFOs got some serious influence on Shigaraki. I’m guessing he’ll eventually take over his body and become the villain once again. Gran Torino dying definitely seems likely, at the very least, he’s the safe option in terms of killing off a character. But damn..... since when could Bakugo ...

Anyway -- they "said" they appreciated my candor...but, obviously, I don't buy it. They won't fire me because I perform (and when due dates are critical...and if this machine is running -- it's making $50k/hr...it would be costly)...but I know that I am hurting future promotions/opportuni...

Re: Movie Reviews
Frozen 2 5.5/10 And just barely. Sequels are so difficult to pull of. Even more for stuff like this. I fast forwarded so many scenes. I actually thought the story wasn’t bad. The whole execution and the full on writing for a younger audience script really made this barely watchable for me at parts....

Hax. I liked how they did the chapter with all of the names. Felt like something a little different, even if I didn't read any of them.

Re: Boku No Hero Academia
I'm thinking Gran Torino may be on his way out - he keeps reminding them they have to dodge/counter instead of duke it out, I'm guessing someone doesn't listen and he bites it in their stead.

Re: Movie Reviews
Umbrella Academy (Netflix) Came out a while ago (Feb 2019), I'm just now getting around to it. 10 episodes long, probably should have been 5-7. Enjoyed the first 3-4, dragged a little in the middle, went cringe towards the end, and had a moment or two of "why would you do that?" and ended...

Yep, the ones who haven't died yet.
