World's largest tower opens in Tokyo. (not tallest building, that's in Dubai) The ugly orange and white Tokyo Tower has been a staple in anime. It will now be replaced by the Skytree. Prepare to see it in every single anime from now on. LOL guy on the right fails at cosplay. Bye fucker!
I honestly don't give a shit about the Skytree. Japan typically tries to make claims about it being the tallest "whatever" but as far as I'm concerned none of that means a damn thing with that building in Dubai still standing. They even try to claim it's the tallest structure in the world that people can enter (at a high level) which I think is a load of crap because that's a BS technicality. These things are all just pissing contest anyway.
http://www.news.com.au/travel/news/...ds-tallest-tower/story-e6frfq80-1226364254479 First day and they had to close elevators. it looks so weird alone like that. City needs more buildings as tall to look impressive. alone it just stands like a sore thumb. but yeah. next time when tokyo gets attacked by monster, magical girl, aizen it will certainly be a central point of the battle.
I like the name. And, was looking up the height for it out of curiosity. It's said to be 634m, which is a little less than double the height of Tokyo Tower (333m). But, it standing all alone there looks strange. They need a couple more tall buildings around or something. Oh well, it's still a nice looking tower. I've always liked Taipei 101 the best though. The architectural design for it is very interesting.
