I'm in need of people willing to help me test a few things. Before I get into details, I just want to say that not everyone will be able to participate, but I will be picking those I think will be most helpful. What I need tested is nothing "dangerous" or anything, I just need more people than me and krozar to look at it.

If you would like to participate, please read the following few things before either posting in this thread or PMing me.

  • Participating means you will NOT share information publically or privately outside of the test environment.
  • It would be most beneficial to me if you were to be active enough to hopefully give me useable feedback.
  • What happens in the test area and what happens here are two completely different things. Though similar, they should not be discussed outside of their repsective areas.
  • Participating is purely for the benefit of TAL, so no harm comes from not being interested or not being picked to participate.


Maybe after a short while, I will open it up to more people, but in the beginning, I will keep it to a limited set of people.

If you are selected to participate, you will know by seeing a notice at the top of the forums providing instructions. If you don't see one, and you showed interest, you will likely be brought in for the 2nd round of people who get access.

Thanks for all your interest. Like I said above, you'll know if you're in for the first round of people. I've been going through and adding people as I see fit (I'm still adding people perodically) for now and eventually more and more people will be able to help.

Alright, change of plans. We move on to phase 3 (skipping a second round of participants) to all registered users who signed up before Monday (roughly, I don't exactly remember when the backup running was made). Please refer to the gigantic notice at the top of your screen for more information. Note that if you had strange symbols in your password, it might not have carried over correctly (as brought to my attention by Spidey) so all you have to do is use the password reset form.

For some reason the page won't load for me, could be something on my end (i don't know a lot about computers). I'm all for the switch if it's what works best.

Edit: never mind, it just took like 5 minutes, but it's up. I'm liking it so far. It's a little different, but similar enough to make it a smooth transition (from the average user's perspective that is, I'm sure the admins have some work to do).

Ive been on ipb forums before, same setup, got all the essential stuff there for all forums. If you think it's better, I don't think a switch would be bad.

I can sign into the IPB but i can't go int othe forums, it looks decent from just logging in and seeing my user profile, but once i click thee link to the forums it says that im no longer logged in and that i have to log in, and then i click that buttin and then it brings me back to the loggin page and i log in and it says that i'm logged in and then i go back to do the same thing.

I love changes, so i guess i'm in too.
