Seriously, who didn't see this coming since the 90s?
Got to commend Germany for being the center of European progress since WWII, and the Euro was part of that Marshall Plan tradition--rebirth from the ashes. But as even many Germans knew, the Euro (aka the Deutsche mark) would not last if weaker economies leeching off Dusseldorf were to become grossly irresponsible. The Germans have never been a people for long-term tolerance, especially during harder times when they have a tendency to become even more inwardly united and less outwardly friendly
Refer to the German Reunification, WWI, and WWII; with nothing to suggest they are inherently any different today--merely placated by decades of prosperity and growth.
Only got through the one shot so far, but seems like it may be interesting. (Picture Haruhi as student council president running around trying to help others instead of thinking of herself, and you pretty much get the main character.) And Gainax is producing this.
Pretty interesting first episode. Animation in it is also good, even the cg is good. Will edit more into this later, but is anybody else gonna watch this? Seems like it'll be a good show, and the first episode certainly lives up to all of the hype I've been reading about this.
