So a concept that I've had in my head for years and have been working on with a collaborator for nearly two years (this video was actually shot in Spring/Summer 2014) is finally coming to fruition.
Long story short, I've always wanted to create video content that actually presented cool and relevant things related to Japan. Not just stupid ass, low quality vlogs about nothing. "This Is Japan" aka TIJ Media is basically that. We have a lot of different kinds of content planned about sports, cosplay, music, art, etc but all related to Japan. And today we just decided to launch the intro video with more stuff coming soon.
I figured I'd share it with you guys and as this grows I'd like to know what you guys think. Plus you all get to see my beautiful face and hear what I actually sound like...a stuffy troll man.
I actually just listened to this interview and discussion on Pedophilia, and it was really well put together, but hard to hear. I agree with the views the interviewer comes out with, in that the thoughts without action and actively seeking help really promotes that people in this mindset are not monsters. Sure, people who DO act on it, should be on registries, be in jail, and the like. But this is really a small percentage of people who sexually abuse in general. These are people with problems, and like normal society, any of them are able to offend, and any of them are able to seek help, and struggle with what they have to go through. I dont promote pedophilia, or think any of it is okay. But with the mindset of them being monsters as the social norm, I feel this is worth a listen and discussion. You may find a certain type of girl attractive, and thats okay. It is your type, there isnt anything you can do about liking that certain type, so you go for that certain type.
Here, their type well, young. And it is morally wrong, and very illegal, and in my view disgusting to think of. But they cant do anything about liking this. Thats why this kid is a warrior and I feel for his struggle as he knows it is wrong. He knows it is fucked up, disgusting, and is trying to do something to not only help himself, but others too.
Thoughts on this taboo and very touchy subject?
Here is the thing I was talking about listening to. Its a half hour long, but really worth the listen.
